Breed History

Breeders sought to create a small, affectionate dog with a friendly nature and potentially improved health through genetic diversity. • Deeply People-Oriented: Havaliers prefer being close to their humans and may follow them from room to room. They do best in homes where they aren’t left alone for long periods.
• Gentle With Children and Other Pets: With proper socialization, they are typically patient and friendly with kids and other animals. Their small size and soft temperament make them better suited to respectful households.
