Amarantine is a small, selective breeding program dedicated to producing sound, capable, driven dogs that can excel both in the show ring and in real-world work.

Our foundation is built around two very different but equally compelling breeds: the Miniature Bull Terrier and the Beauceron.

We believe a beautiful dog should still be able to work, and a working dog should still possess the structure, temperament and breed type necessary to represent its breed proudly.

MINIATURE BULL TERRIERS

Our Miniature Bull Terrier program focuses on producing dogs with correct structure, athleticism, confidence, drive and strong working ability.

We want dogs that are capable of stepping into the show ring with breed type and presence, while possessing the stamina, determination and character that make the Miniature Bull Terrier such a unique working terrier.

Our goals include dogs suitable for:

* Scent work

* Dock diving
* Junior handling
* Working and protection-oriented activities
* Active companion homes

Temperament matters just as much as structure. We look for dogs that are confident, environmentally sound, biddable, resilient and driven, while maintaining the distinctive character of the Miniature Bull Terrier.

MINIATURE BULL TERRIER HEALTH STANDARDS

Health is not an afterthought at Amarantine. Responsible breeding starts with doing our homework before a breeding ever takes place.

Our Miniature Bull Terriers are health tested with the goal of making informed breeding decisions and reducing the risk of inherited disease.

DNA Testing

* PLL — Primary Lens Luxation
* LAD — Lethal Acrodermatitis
* LP — Laryngeal Paralysis

Additional Health Screening

* BAER testing for hearing
* Echocardiogram for cardiac health
* Kidney screening for renal health

Results are considered alongside pedigree, structure, temperament, working ability and overall health when planning a breeding.

Our Beaucerons are an important part of the Amarantine program and our passion for versatile working dogs.

We value the Beauceron as a breed that can combine strength, intelligence, athleticism, stability and a genuine desire to work.

Our ideal Beauceron is capable of being a devoted family companion while having the nerve, work ethic and versatility to participate in training and performance activities.

We strive for dogs that are structurally sound, mentally stable and physically capable of doing the jobs the breed was developed to perform.
