There is no denying that Drew has a lot of personality and is such a pleasure to be around. Playing in the house and yard, he has a way of making you laugh. Nevertheless, once Drew has finished playing, he will always join you on the couch. Training with him was a wonderful experience, he learned commands quickly. By combining hand signals with speech, Drew is able to follow the same command in two different ways.

The family, along with our breeding dogs, resides in Medicine Hat, Alberta. During 2018, Dixie, Renae, and Torri decided to breed doodles. In order to produce healthy puppies, we believe breeding genetically cleared parents is essential.
There is a critical importance to the environment in which puppies are born and raised during the first several weeks of their lives. Every puppy is handled from birth, Renae and Torri are present at every delivery. Monitoring the health of the mother and ensuring that each puppy is weighed and nursing. During the first few weeks after birth, Dixie keeps watch over the puppies and their mother to ensure they are doing well.
Torri is an integral part of the ZimmDoodles team, handling a diverse range of responsibilities essential to the smooth operation and well-being of the dogs. Her duties begin with visually capturing the essence of ZimmDoodles through her photography skills. She's responsible for taking all the photos for ZimmDoodles, showcasing the personality and charm of each dog and puppy for the website and social media. Beyond capturing images, Torri acts as a primary point of contact, diligently answering phone calls, texts, and emails from potential customers and existing clients, providing information and addressing inquiries. Meticulous record-keeping is also under her purview, ensuring that all necessary paperwork for each dog and litter is accurately completed and organized. As puppies prepare to go to their forever homes, Torri thoughtfully assembles comprehensive puppy packs, filled with essential supplies and information to help new owners transition their pups seamlessly. She plays a key role in planning and actively participating in the breeding process itself, understanding the intricacies of responsible breeding practices. Her involvement extends to the crucial task of delivering the puppies, a demanding and emotionally rewarding experience. From the moment they are born, Torri is dedicated to providing exceptional care for the puppies as they grow and develop, ensuring they receive proper nutrition, socialization, and veterinary attention. To further enhance her expertise and contribute to the continuous improvement of ZimmDoodles, Torri has proactively completed several breeding courses. This dedication to ongoing education underscores her commitment to staying abreast of the latest advancements in canine health, genetics, and responsible breeding practices, ultimately benefiting the well-being of the dogs in her care.
She actively participates to ensure the safety and well-being of both the male and female involved. This is particularly crucial during the vulnerable act of mating, helping to prevent potential injuries. Moreover, her dedication continues through the entire gestation period and assisting with the delivery, providing comfort and support to the mother during this process. Her nurturing role doesn't end there. As the puppies grow and develop, she remains a constant presence, providing essential care, guidance, and protection, ensuring they receive the nourishment and socialization they need to thrive.
Dixie takes on the crucial role of night-time guardian for the newborn puppies, a duty that begins the very moment they enter the world and continues until each little one finds its forever home. During those fragile first few weeks, when the puppies are entirely dependent on their mother, Dixie becomes an indispensable part of their lives. She dedicates her nights to vigilantly staying in the whelping room, ensuring that each pup is successfully latching on to their mother for vital nourishment. Her presence provides a sense of security, allowing her to meticulously observe each puppy, monitoring their breathing, temperature, and overall well-being. She's quick to address any issues, whether it's a pup struggling to find a comfortable feeding position or one that seems restless and in need of extra comfort. It's a demanding job, requiring patience, dedication, and a keen eye for detail, but Dixie understands the importance of these early weeks in ensuring the puppies thrive and grow into healthy, happy dogs.
